For the safety and enjoyment of the Marina, all boat owners, their crew and guests must abide by the following rules and regulations:
- Quiet hours 11:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M., PLEASE!! Noise should be kept to a minimum at all times. All persons using the Marina shall use discretion in operating engines, generators, radios and television sets, so as not to create a nuisance or disturbance.
- Dockholders must meet their guests and escort them through the security gate.
- Pets, when on Marina property, must be controlled by the owner at all times. Pet must be on a leash and in or on the Owner’s Boat at all times. Pets are not to be chained or tied to catwalks, docks, or sidewalks. If pet soils Marina property, the owner must clean it up. Designated dog walks are provided. Constant barking is prohibited.
- Seasonal docks are for the use of the registered dock-holder only. Friends must register in the Marina Office and pay appropriate transient dockage.
- Boaters who discharge holding tanks or toilets into the Marina will have their Dockage Agreement immediately terminated and will cause the immediate removal of the Owner’s Boat from the Marina. Any paid dockage will be forfeited. Emptying of portable toilets in the restroom is prohibited.
- Boats with bow pulpits or other extending objects from the bow or stern of the boat must be tied back so said object does not extend on the top of the docks; boats with swim platforms, outboard motors, rudders, and other extending objects from the stern must not extend into the Fairway. Boats which exceed the dock’s length must be moved to a larger dock at the owner’s expense.
- Fishing is prohibited within the Marina. By order of the Erie County Health Departments, fish cleaning is prohibited within the Marina.
- The Health Department of Erie County prohibits swimming and/or diving within the Marina.
- The pool is closed from 9:00 P.M. to 9:30 A.M. seven days a week. Children 12 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult while using marina pool.
- Open fires are not permitted on docks, piers, or boats. Grills are provided.
- Owners or operators of vessels shall immediately reimburse Marina for any damage or defacement which they or their vessel may cause to Marina property. A responsible representative of each vessel shall immediately report to Marina Management and complete an Incident Report stating the time, place, cause and circumstance of any accident or injury to a passenger or other person, or damage to any property, in which a vessel is involved. Dockage agreements will be cancelled and not be renewed with owners or operators who have not satisfied such outstanding obligations.
- Boats found in unassigned slips will be moved at the owner’s expense.
- Disordered, depredations, public intoxication, profanity or abusive language, threats, harm or injury to persons or property by a boat owner, family member, guest or others, whether on Marina property or elsewhere, will be cause for the immediate removal of a vessel from the Marina and termination of contract without refund.
- Any boat which enters the Marina immediately comes under the jurisdiction of the Marina Management. Accordingly, Boat Owners must follow the instructions of such Management for the safety and well-being of all persons and boats using the Marina.
- Should Owner’s Boat sink in the Marina, Owner agrees to remove his boat within 24 hours of its sinking. Marina may move or have the vessel removed at the Owner’s cost. Any vessel experiencing more than normal leakage must be repaired or removed from the Marina.
- Marina assumes no responsibility for improperly moored boats or improperly tied lines.
- Rub posts should not be used as handrails. If you attach anything to the rub posts, you do so at your own risk.
- Boats leaving for an extended cruise (over 48 hours) shall notify the Marina office. The Marina reserves the right to rent all docks when vacant.
- Docks and finger piers shall be kept clear of stored materials. Boat Owners shall not store supplies, materials, accessories or debris on walkways. All dock boxes must be furnished or approved by Marina Management. Installation must be preformed by Marina personnel to prevent damage to the pier. Avoid running hoses and electric lines across the docks.
- PLEASE, return all dockcarts to the designated area after each use.
- Avoid hanging laundry on boats, docks or finger piers in Marina.
- Only manufactured boat fenders are approved by the Marina. Homemade fenders and ties are prohibited.
- Repair and maintenance of dock facilities must be performed by Marina personnel only. Alterations or additions to dock facilities will be performed only by Marina employees or agents.
- Routine maintenance and minor repair necessary for the preservation and seaworthiness of the vessel such as mechanical adjustments, minor painting, leak seals and rot prevention may be preformed within the Marina. Routine maintenance and minor repairs are generally considered to be those which do not disturb the public peace and tranquility of any person aboard any boat within the jurisdiction of the Marina. The Marina will not loan tools, equipment or supplies to Boat Owners or operators for any such routine maintenance and minor repairs. No outside contractor may work on any boat in the Marina without prior consent of the boat owner and Marina Management. Outside contractors must provide proof of insurance and check-in and out at the Marina Office. All such routine maintenance and minor repair by Boat Owners, operators or permitted outside contractors may be performed only between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., except in the case of an emergency.
- The Marina will take reasonable measures to maintain adequate depth in the Marina, but will not be responsible for vessels stranded or hitting bottom. Due to the constantly changing water levels, the Marina will not refund fees collected if the vessel’s draft exceeds the basin’s or channel water depth.
- Solicitation or advertising for any purpose on the water or land areas of the Marina is prohibited, except as specifically authorized in writing by the Marina Management.
- All Boat Owners and operators are expected to be considerate of other boaters with respect to parking spaces. If your boating party consists of more than one vehicle, the other vehicle must be parked in less crowded areas.
- Vehicles parked in “No Parking” areas or areas that are not designated as parking spaces will be towed away at the owner’s cost.
- Security gates provide protection for all Boat Owners. Gates must be closed at all times.
- Children under six (6) years of age should be accompanied by an adult when on the docks and should be wearing an approved PFD.
- Fueling may only be done at the Marina’s fuel pier with marina tanks and equipment.
- All vessels operating in the Marina waters must proceed at idle, no wake speed, so as to prevent damage or injury to persons or property. Boat owners are liable for any and all damage caused to any property by such boat’s wake.
- Refuse and garbage must not be thrown over board. Garbage in plastic bags shall be deposited in cans supplied for that purpose. Notify Marina personnel for anything that will not fit in these cans; they will dispose of same.
- No person shall discharge oil, spirits, inflammable liquid or oily bilges into the Marina or trash receptacles, under any circumstance. The Marina provides a special container for waste oil. Please ask for assistance.
- Any electrical, mechanical or structural failures or damages must be reported to Marina management immediately so that such failures or damages may be repaired.
- Water supply hoses of unattended vessels shall be disconnected at the dock and stowed aboard.
- Water and electricity must not be wasted; additional charges will be added to the slip rent of any tenant using excessive amounts of electricity or water.
- Only manufactured marine electrical cords and adaptors are approved and may be used in the Marina.
- The discharging of fireworks or use of sparklers is prohibited. Violators may be removed from the marina with no refund.
- Violation of any city ordinances, state or federal laws, or violation of any regulation of city, state, or federal agencies shall be cause for the Marina to terminate the Dockage Agreement immediately and to cause the immediate removal of the Owner’s Boat from the Marina.
- Boat Owners must provide their current federal documentation or state registration numbers for all boats berthed in the Marina and be listed as the legal owner.
- All crafts on marina property either land or in the water must be maintained in a safe, clean manner including all cosmetics, the structure, and all components. Each craft must meet minimum state and local regulations and must be able to pass a Coast Guard inspection. If any craft is determined unable to pass minimum Coast guard standards, the owner will be notified by verbal or written notice and will have a reasonable time to make all necessary repairs. If the owner is unable or unwilling to bring the craft up to standard, it must be removed from the marina premises at the owner’s expense.
